Pelvic Pain
Pelvic pain can affect people of all ages and activity levels. Common presentations include pubic symphysis pain, sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain, and pain around the lower back, hips, or groin.
In many cases, pelvic pain is linked to altered load transfer through the pelvis. This may be due to reduced muscular control, strength imbalances, altered biomechanics, or a history of injury. When the surrounding muscles are not effectively supporting the pelvis, increased stress is placed on the joints and surrounding tissues, which can lead to pain and irritation.
At Body Technics Physiotherapy, we focus on identifying the underlying cause rather than focusing solely on the area of pain, we look at the entire kinetic chain, muscle strength and joint control to understand the drivers of your symptoms.
Treatment is then tailored to restore optimal function through targeted strengthening, movement retraining, manual therapy when appropriate, and individualised exercise programs. This approach aims to improve load management across the pelvis, reduce pain, and support long-term recovery.
Our goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and return to your normal activities with confidence.
